Wolfgang Schöllhorn (Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany) “Complex movement analysis for complex training approaches” URL: http://www.sport.uni-mainz.de/Sport/239.php W.I. Schöllhorn graduated in physical Education and Physic. He recieved his PhD in Biomechanics 1990 in Frankfurt and wrote his Post doc thesis 1995 in Cologne about Motor learning and systems Dynamics. WIS was a DFG research fellow 1993-1995. For his research about differential learning he received the Myiashita-Performance-Award 1999 from the International Society of Biomechanics and the Deutsche Werk-BundLabel 2006. From 1997-2000 he was assistant Professor at the former DHFK in Leipzig. From 2000 until 2007 WIS had the chair for the Training Science Department in Münster. Since 2007 he is the head of the department for Training and Movement Science at the University of Münster. WIS had several guest professorships in Taipei (Taiwan), Salzburg (Austria), Calgary (Canada) Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Barcelona (Spain). His main area of research is pattern recognition, signal analysis, motor learning and epistemological basis of science. As an athlete he was member of the state team württemberg in Handball, member of the state team hessen in decathlon and became german champion in 4men bob sledding. As a coach he led several juvenile athletes to german junior championships and international championships. |
